Senior Pivot Technician
$25.00 – $40.00 / hour

🏡 Home Nightly — No Overnight Travel
Do you have experience with pivot irrigation systems? Join us as a Senior Technician and put your skills to work installing, maintaining, and repairing center pivot equipment. You'll tackle technical challenges, mentor junior team members, and ensure our customers' systems run efficiently — all while building your career in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
What You'll Do
- Lead installation, maintenance, and repair of center pivot irrigation systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve pivot functionality issues
- Read and interpret schematics and technical information
- Perform electrical and mechanical component replacement (electrical experience preferred)
- Install remote and cellular control equipment
- Replace sprinklers, drivetrains, tower boxes, and panels
- Pour concrete pads and assist with light grain bin work as needed
- Evaluate systems for alignment, coverage, leaks, and damage
- Perform seasonal startups and winterization
- Provide customers with recommendations to improve system performance and irrigation efficiency
- Participate in company training and support development of junior technicians and trainees
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, equipment, and truck inventory (tools provided)
- Complete required reports, documentation, and time/material tracking
- Follow all safety rules and regulations
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Outdoor work in all seasons
- Work at heights up to 15 feet
- Lift 50+ pounds regularly
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm
- Seasonal workloads may require occasional longer days and some Saturdays from 8am–noon
- Home nightly. No overnight travel. No on-call.
What You Bring
- 3+ years of hands-on pivot installation and repair experience
- Electrical experience and the ability to pull a permit is a plus
- Strong troubleshooting ability
- Ability to work independently and lead a crew
- Valid driver's license
- Customer service mindset
